If you experience problems while using MGTEK dopisp, please try the troubleshooting tips below:

Install the latest version of MGTEK dopisp

Previous versions of MGTEK dopisp may contain software bugs that cause problems. To ensure that you are not troubleshooting a problem that has been fixed already, please install the latest version of MGTEK dopisp.

The latest version of MGTEK dopisp is very stable. Almost all of the problems reported today are not caused by MGTEK dopisp.

Download the latest version of MGTEK dopisp.

Use a USB port on the back I/O panel of your computer

A surprisingly high number of problems, such as slow syncs, errors during sync, etc., are caused by a bad USB connection. Especially USB ports located on the front of your PC are known to cause problems, especially with a 2nd Generation iPod Shuffle. If you experience random problems, please try a USB port located on the back I/O panel of your computer.

Restore your iPod using iTunes to factory conditions

Many problems that may occur while synching your iPod may be caused by a corrupted iPod database. The database may corrupt if you disconnect the iPod while it is synching, a USB connection problem, or if you used some crappy software to sync your iPod.

To rule out error due to database corruption, use Apple iTunes to restore your iPod to factory conditions.

Reset the Windows Media Player device cache

If you previously used an older version of MGTEK dopisp that did not support a feature of the latest version, you may need to reset the Windows Media Player device cache. This procedure will force Windows Media Player to forget any portable devices you used before and re-detect your iPod as a new device.

1. Unplug the iPod.
2. In Windows Media Player 11, click the Now Playing tab twice, to open the pull-down menu.
3. In the pull-down menu, click More Options.
4. On the Privacy tab, click Clear Caches.
5. Restart Windows Media Player and plug in the iPod.
