Annual Update of MiniIDE
The most current version of MiniIDE is V1.14. All un-registered users will have
to update to the latest version before the end of the year since the previous version
will cease to work by the end of 2002.
Assembler
The MiniIDE assembler has been updated to V1.19. The new assembler includes a few
bug fixes and stability enhancements.
Internet Error Reporting
As a new feature, MGTEK Error Reporting has been included with MiniIDE. Error Reporting
monitors the health of MiniIDE, and allows you to report application faults over
the internet. In the event that MiniIDE crashes, a dialog will pop up and you will
have the opportunity to send diagnostic information to MGTEK. The information sent
contains a "minidump", which is a standard post-mortem debugging file that will
help us find the cause of the application crash. If you would like to help us test
this new feature, you can crash MiniIDE by selecting "Test Error Reporting" from
the MiniIDE Help menu.
Legacy Operating System Support
MiniIDE has been updated to compile with Visual Studio .NET and MFC 7.0. Since Microsoft
has officially dropped support for Windows 95, we have also decided not to support
Windows 95 in future versions of MiniIDE. In order to run MiniIDE V1.14, your computer
must run one of the following operating systems:
- Windows 98/Me
- Windows NT 4.0 SP5 with Internet Explorer 5.01 or higher
- Windows 2000/XP/.NET
