To personalize your iPod, you can set the device name.

Rename the iPod (Windows Media Player 11)

1. Start Windows Media Player 11, connect your iPod to your computer, and then click the Sync tab.
2. From the tree-view to the left, right-click the iPod icon and click Advanced Options.
3. In the field Device name enter the name of your iPod, and click OK.

Rename the iPod (Windows Media Player 12)

1. Start Windows Media Player 12 and connect your iPod to your computer.
2. From the tree-view to the left, right-click the iPod icon and click Properties.
3. In the field Device name enter the name of your iPod, and click OK.
