Users have often very different requirements when it comes to presenting a help manual or technical document. Some may require the help system to be accessible from the Intranet or Internet, some may want to integrate the help system with a Windows application, yet other may require the ability to integrate their help with existing tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio.

To accommodate these different requirements, Help Producer supports a number of different output types or help targets:

Some output types may have themes associated with them, in order to support various aspects of the output type. Both output type and theme can be changed with the Help Producer project editor.

Language Support

Microsoft Word and Help Producer support most languages defined by the Unicode standard when used on a Unicode enabled operating system, such as Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista. However, there may be restrictions posed by the underlying help system used. See the output type topics for possible restrictions imposed by the help system.
