Browser buttons allow the user to navigate through a help file, i.e. view the next, previous or parent topic by clicking a button. These navigation buttons are especially useful, when the help viewer does not offer such functionality, for instance when browser help is used.

An example that shows how to create browse buttons can be found in the Help Producer distribution at the following location:

C:\Program Files\MGTEK\Help Producer\Examples\Customization\Browse Buttons

To view the example, do the following:

  1. Open the Word document Example.doc.
  2. On the Help Producer toolbar, click Display Compiled Help File Description: Display Compiled Help File.
