Help Producer contains a built-in system checker that performs an exhaustive check of the system configuration. Messages are categorized into Informational, Warning, and Error messages. Messages flagged as warnings and errors should be resolved in order to avoid potential problems.

Message types

Run the System Diagnostic Checker

  1. On the Help Producer toolbar, click Configure Help Project Description: Configure Help Project.
  2. In the tree view, select the category Project, and select the tab Options.
  3. Click the button Diagnose System.
  4. If there are any warnings or error reported, you will need to take the appropriate action to resolve the issue.
    Tip   If you double-click a message that contains a link to a webpage, Help Producer will open a web browser and open the page given in the URL.
