Technically speaking, you cannot remove a style from a paragraph or character. Instead, you simply apply the default style. Usually, the default style does not have any special formatting properties, so text with the default style appears like text without any formatting. For paragraphs, this default style is called Normal, for characters, it is called Default Paragraph Font.
