Use this property page to change extended options that effect the generation of the index file.

Create binary index (Microsoft Help 1.0 only)

Select this option to create a binary index file. A binary index file is recommended for big indexes. It also allows you to merge indexes and to use keyword links.

Some style options are not available if a binary index file is generated.

Default Frame (Microsoft Help 1.0 only)

Specifies the default frame for the topic files.

Font

Specifies the default font used in the index pane of the help viewer.

Size

Specifies the default font size used in the index pane of the help viewer.

Title (Microsoft Help 2.0 only)

Specifies the title of the index.

Prefix Characters (Microsoft Help 2.0 only)

Specifies a string of characters to be ignored in keyword sorts when occurring at the head of the keyword.

Merge Index (Microsoft Help 2.0 only)

Select this option to indicate that the index can be merged at compile time. This applies only to sorted and compiled indexes.

Sort Index (Microsoft Help 2.0 only)

Select this option to automatically sort the index.

Visible Index (Microsoft Help 2.0 only)

Select this option to indicate that the index is visible to the user.
