In order to improve the usability of a help file, you will want to link topic through the use of hyperlinks.

Help Producer supports many ways of linking topics. See Linking Topics for more information.

The hyperlink method is shown below. Hyperlinks are a built-in feature of Microsoft Word.

Create a hyperlink

  1. Select the text or image that you want to display as the hyperlink.
  2. On the Insert menu, click Hyperlink. The shortcut is CTRL+K.
  3. Under Link to, click Place in This Document.
  4. In the list, select the heading or bookmark you want to link to.
  5. Click OK to create the link.
