If you wish to free up space on your iPod, you can simply delete songs from your iPod.

Tip   If you want to delete more than one song, it is faster to select multiple songs and delete the selection, instead of deleting every song individually. To add songs to the selection, hold down the CTRL key while you select the songs in the list. To select a range of songs in a list, select the first song and then hold down the SHIFT key and select the last song. To delete all songs from the iPod, simply Format your iPod.
